With the opening of the Meizhou-Longchuan line, passengers can reach Longchuan from Meizhou in about 29 minutes, saving over an hour compared to a trip by normal train. Additionally, travel by high-speed trains from Meizhou West to Guangzhou East and Shenzhen North will take only 107 minutes and 96 minutes, respectively. That cuts the travel time from Meizhou to cities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area to around two hours.
