Guangdong is often described as China’s trade gateway, manufacturing powerhouse, and innovation hub—but it offers much more than these labels.
Invited by GDToday, four photojournalists who had worked for internationally renowned media visited Guangdong recently. All of them have been honored with the most prestigious photojournalist awards, including the Pulitzer Prizes and the World Press Photo of the Year.
From November 13 to 23, they explored Qingyuan, Guangzhou, Dongguan, Shantou, Zhongshan, and Foshan, capturing the landscapes and people there through their photos. From the remote Yao folk villages nestled in the mountains to the lively streets of bustling cities, from historical parks to cutting-edge tech labs, and from the monumental ShenZhong Link mega-project to the soft, golden hues of sunrise over the sea, they discovered numerous stunning moments worth capturing.
To record their multifaceted yet individual experiences along the journey, GDToday has produced a mini-documentary. Watch the video and get ready to discover China together.
