After seven years of construction, the ShenZhong (Shenzhen-Zhongshan) Link, a monumental cross-sea infrastructure project, is set to open to traffic this Sunday at 3 p.m. This groundbreaking project connects the cities on the eastern and western sides of the Pearl River Estuary, significantly enhancing transportation and economic integration within the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA).
Travel Guidance:
From Shenzhen to Zhongshan, the travel time is slashed from two hours to approximately 30 minutes.
Total Length: 24 kilometers, featuring a 6.85-kilometer sea tunnel and a 17.2-kilometer above-sea bridge section.
Toll Rates:
Entireroute: 66 RMB(9.08USD ) for cars with no more than nine seats.
Eastern Island to Western Island: 27 RMB.
WesternIsland to Wanqingsha Interchange: 23 RMB.
Wanqingsha Interchange to Hengmen Interchange: 6 RMB.
Located in the core area of the GBA, the ShenZhong Link is positioned 30 kilometers south of the Humen Bridge and 31 kilometers north of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge. It begins at the Shenzhen Airport Interchange, extends westward over the Lingdingyang sea area, and connects to the NanZhong (Nansha-Zhongshan) Highway through the Wanqingsha Interchange, ending in Zhongshan City’s Ma’an Island.
