On the morning of August 28, the acting team of Shenzhen‘s original dance drama “Wing Chun” set off for London to start their second overseas tour after their overseas premiere in Singapore in 2023.
From August 30 to September 7 local time, the “Wing Chun” team will stage 12 performances in the UK. After that, the total number of performances will be refreshed to 202.

For instance, in order to warm up for the upcoming performance of the dance drama “Wing Chun,” the shopping mecca of London and Westfield Shopping Center continue to display posters on the big screen in the square.

On social media, overseas Chinese and international students in London expressed their interest in and expectations for Wing Chun. Some netizens even posted their tickets, saying they were eagerly waiting for Wing Chun to be shown in London.
At about 5 am on August 28 Beijing time, the third batch of the acting team departed from Shenzhen and is expected to arrive at London Heathrow Airport at 6 pm on the 28th local time.

She said, “I hope British audiences will like the combination of martial arts and dance.” She told us that “Wing Chun” uses a two-line narrative story structure and the artistic expression of the dance drama. Through the language of dance, the audience can feel the profoundness of Chinese martial arts and the excellence of traditional Chinese culture.
“We will bring a different Chinese cultural cognition to overseas audiences in a full state,” said Wang Ali, the tour manager of the dance drama “Wing Chun.” According to media reports, in order to help everyone adapt to the new environment faster, the team also made detailed strategies for the schedule, local climate, and surrounding environment, and created a manual to distribute to everyone before departure.

She also mentioned that this year, they specifically customized unified clothing, which not only represents the image of the “Wing Chun” acting team but also allows overseas friends to feel the different style of “Wing Chun”.
